LANGUAGE AND TELEVISION MEDIA IN THE SCOPE OF HEALTH COMMUNICATION: DESCRIPTION OF HEALTH COMMUNICATIONS STUDY
Abstract
Media television is a means of information that is widely watched by all people, from children, adults and the elderly. Various information is presented including information related to health. In presenting information in television media, language is important in conveying information to be accepted by the public. Information related to health in the television media, the language used is very sensitive, so that alternative medicine programs are not broadcast on prime time. There is also a question in this article is how the use of language in television media in alternative medicine programs. The method used in explaining this article is a descriptive qualitative method through observation. The results of the study show that the language used in conveying health communication information in alternative medicine is still very vulgar, especially in terms of adult medicine.
